Axios reported on Sunday that Cuba is planning military drone attacks on U.S. soil, the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and American Navy vessels.
The outlet cited "classified intelligence" reports received just after Iranian military ?advisers were spotted in ?Havana, according to a senior U.S. official.
"The intelligence could become a pretext for U.S. military action," Axios wrote on social media.
According to Newsweek, "prominent voices on the left, compared the claims to the flawed intelligence leading up to the 2003 Iraq War."
The timing is suspicious as the Trump administration has been promoting the notion of getting involved in regime change in Cuba, even floating the idea of military intervention with POTUS referring to Cuba as "next" after U.S. actions in Venezuela and Iran.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited the island nation on Thursday to meet with intelligence officials and Cuban Colonel Raúl Guillermo "Raulito" Rodríguez Castro, the grandson of former leader Raúl Castro, Fidel Castro's brother.
"False flag imminent," Rex Jones wrote on ????.
EXCLUSIVE: Cuba has acquired more than 300 military drones and recently began discussing plans to use them to attack U.S assets, according to classified intelligence shared with Axios.
