Healthcare Providers Required to Tout Abortion
Citing the global threat of overpopulation, Gov. JB Pritzker (D-Ill) and the Democrat majority in the state legislature passed a law requiring all healthcare providers, including those who have ethical or religious objections, to tout the public benefits of abortion.
Pritzker justified this compelled speech by asserting that "unconstrained population growth poses a severe threat to public health. We cannot allow zealots who hope to use the innocence of the unborn to divert us from taking the essential actions needed to avert the inevitable famine that will result from the careless creation of more mouths to feed. Hundreds of folks like myself could go hungry."
The Governor rebuffed claims that this legislation violates the First Amendment, by saying "the text of the document says 'Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.' This law wasn't passed by Congress. It was passed by our state legislature. It does not abridge freedom of speech. It merely enacts a duty to take action to speak on behalf of the need to use our most potent measure for preventing a future famine."
"Second, the Tenth Amendment says 'powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people,'" he pointed out. "There is nothing in the Constitution prohibiting our state from expanding the public health responsibilities of those licensed to practice medicine in Illinois."
President Trump warned "we can't make America great again by murdering our children. This clearly violates their natural right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. A state government law forcing doctors and nurses to advocate for such barbarism is worse than abridging freedom of speech and logically must also be forbidden by our First Amendment."
Pritzker dared Trump "to sue us" and predicted that "the court will have no choice but to agree that we have found the perfect loophole in the Bill of Rights. Every 'blue state' will turn every state-licensed profession into an advocate for progressive policies. In addition to healthcare workers this will include lawyers, teachers, plumbers, barbers, and real estate agents."
94% of Middle Class Will Get Tax Cuts
Recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Frank Bisignano predicted that "94% of taxpayers will see tax reductions from President Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' legislation. Many families will receive annual income tax reductions in the $10,000 to $20,000 range. Social Security recipients will see annual net increases in benefits ranging up to $6,000 due to the legislation's elimination of taxes on benefits."
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) called these tax reductions "inherently unfair. Only the richest 50% of Americans pay income taxes. Those too poor to pay these taxes and those on welfare will get no benefit from the tax cuts Trump and the Republicans forced through Congress. The sector of society hardest hit by these changes will be the immigrants who are ineligible for welfare benefits because they entered the country illegally. Thankfully, this injustice won't be permanent. The majority of the population that doesn't pay taxes will elect a Democrat majority to Congress next November. We will repeal the tax cuts and restore the welfare benefits to the robust levels that democratic socialists have always supported."
In related news, the tax cuts enacted by the Republican majority in Congress helped spark a 4.3% increase in America's Gross Domestic Product for the July-September quarter. Sanders also objected to this development, saying "further enrichment of those earning an income or investing in businesses only adds to the inequality that capitalism propagates. We will also reverse this inequity and restore the kind of equality only socialism can deliver after Democrats win the 2026 elections."
Parent Rights Affirmed by Federal Court
In California, US District Court Judge Roger Benitez issued a summary judgment declaring a state law requiring public school teachers to conceal the transgender declarations of their students from their parents unconstitutional, saying "parents and guardians have a federal constitutional right to be informed if their public school student child expresses gender incongruence. Teachers and school staff have a federal constitutional right to accurately inform the parent or guardian when the student expresses gender incongruence. These federal constitutional rights are superior to any state or local laws, state or local regulations, or state or local policies to the contrary."
Judge Benitez added "the law's aspirations are unattainable. Biological sex is embedded in every cell of a person's body and cannot be changed by any therapies currently available. Foisting these therapies on children is a political objective, not an effective medical treatment. Cutting parents out of the loop as the California law prescribes cuts out the most trustworthy agents for the child's well-being."
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) expressed his "profound disappointment at this inhumane suppression of children's rights. The law that the court overturned is necessary to liberate transgender students from their parents' narrow-minded and despotic efforts to trap their children in the wrong body. Keeping these parents in the dark is absolutely essential if the process of transitioning to the opposite sex is to be kept on track before the onset of puberty. I mean, we've all seen the tragic results of waiting until adultery before being allowed to get the hormones and surgery needed for best results. We're going to appeal this ruling."
Newsom & Walz Compare Impacts
Miffed that Minnesota has been garnering the lion's share of recent news on welfare fraud, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) pointed out that "my state has been cited for $76 billion in welfare fraud in the past year alone. We are far ahead of anything Gov. Walz has achieved in his state. I dare say, that if a multi-year examination of fraud statistics were conducted we would show the most robust losses of tax dollars of any state over any period of time in our nation's history."
Walz countered, saying "I've received almost 100 letters from panicked mayors urging me to 'put the breaks on the spending' and to 'clean up your act.' Minnesota now ranks 46th among the 50 states in growth of median household income. This shows I've put my imprint on my state. Newsom hasn't shown he's had a comparable impact. The corruption in California probably was there long before he became governor."
Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan backed Walz's claims saying "our Governor has enabled a cadre of destitute Somalian refugees to become millionaires by diverting welfare benefits earmarked for others to themselves. I don't think Newsom can claim a comparable achievement."
Newsom reminded Walz and Flanagan that "we have more homeless people than any other state. Minnesota doesn't even come close. And earlier this year I presided over a fire that destroyed more than 18,000 homes, scorched nearly 60,000 acres, and killed up to 440 people. Regulatory red tape has prevented only a tiny fraction of these homes to be rebuilt. Clearly, my impact has been greater by far and should put me in the lead for the 2028 Democrat presidential nomination."
