If ever there's a situation where there are so many people getting conned into the Big Pharma lies, it's in the case of the great high blood pressure treatment scam.
Background
According to the WHO (World Health Organization) 1 in 3 people aged between 30 to 79 years old have high blood pressure. But has this so-called "silent killer" been deliberately misrepresented? Further, is the approach towards high blood pressure topsy-turvy?
-The evidence suggests the answers are yes.
Changing the treatment criteria
Over the years, the criteria for labelling someone with high blood pressure has changed. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) have now defined normal blood pressure as "less than 120/80 millimeters of mercury." High blood pressure is now defined as that which is "consistently over 130/80 millimeters of mercury."
What was considered a few decades ago to be normal, 120/80, is now deemed as high blood pressure! (See above picture). In other words, the treatment criteria has changed. The figure for high blood pressure treatment has been lowered
That means, in many cases, the targeting for people having so-called high blood pressure has been increased. It falsely justifies the use of more blood pressure lowering drugs. How convenient is this for Big Pharma, as they stand to make even more profits on blood pressure lowering drugs??
