President Trump is headed to the Federal Reserve today to inspect Jerome Powell's Federal Reserve headquarters renovations with lawmakers, administration officials, and "various other construction professionals" as he ramps up pressure against Powell for potential criminal fraud and abuse of taxpayer funds.
Powell is under fire for the cost of renovating the Fed's DC headquarters. The cost ballooned from $1.9 billion to $2.5 billion.
President Trump said it's going to actually cost $3.1 Billion or more!
Getting ready to head over to the Fed to look at their, now, $3.1 Billion Dollar (PLUS!) construction project. Also present will be Fed Chair Jerome Powell, Senator Tim Scott, Senator Thom Tillis, OMB Director Russ Vought, Chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bill Pulte, my Appointees to the National Capital Planning Commission, James Blair and Will Scharf, and various other construction professionals.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna criminally referred Jerome Powell over the renovation insanity.
Chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bill Pulte, who is joining the President on his tour this afternoon, questioned the $2.5 billion renovations after Powell dodged a tour of the renovations last week.
In a rare move, Powell also opened the headquarters to reporters before the President's tour.
President Trump is at the site now.
