About This Film

Some have called it Truthstream's Magnum Opus, and they aren't wrong. This film project has been six long years in the making. What began innocently enough as a small report on a curious place we visited in England has since expanded into our most in-depth research project to date. Hundreds of sources. Hundreds more hours of documentary footage from dozens of events witnessed in-person on the ground. Interviews across the gamut. Locations across ten countries – including the recreation of the Boston Tea Party on the very night of its 250th anniversary. We got permission to visit the American Philosophical Society Library to study original copies of Benjamin Franklin's correspondence and a little-known 18th century scrapbook full of hints and clues about the mysterious connections and blurred lines between English and American 'sides' in the potent fight for liberty, and the tumultuous events on two continents leading up to the outbreak of revolution.

We pursued a mystery... and we have found it in so many unexpected ways.
We suck at asking for help, but now we desperately need yours in bringing this massive project to completion. Simply put, we need the finances to be able to hire ourselves and buy the time to focus intently on the massive undertaking required of a two-person film crew wearing all the hats for further scene filming, editing, music, post-production, and promotion of this film without having to split our attention on weekly videos that are otherwise needed just to make ends meet and keep the lights on. This film will likely be two films (two discs) that make one larger whole. To appropriately tell this tale, we will need a year, guys.

Additionally, we have a priority need to upgrade our aging primary editing computer, along with other tech/storage devices. We need to fund DVD manufacture and online + physical distribution. We are already maxed out, having put everything we have into the making of this untold film, so now we are offering preorders etc. and humbly asking for some necessary assistance to finish the job, so that we may share this important work with everyone. Other people go to Hollywood and get agendas handed to them with a check; we're taking this to the people so the narrative will not be controlled and the truth can out.

In all our years, we have never asked for help. We're terrible at it actually. We barely even remind our viewers that we have a T-shirt store. But this project is now our life's work, as we know how important this story we've been chasing truly is to humanity, especially at this time we find ourselves living through. We're betting everything we've built for the past 13 years on the necessity of bringing this film to life.

A Formula of Sorts...

Big stuff is at stake. We're talking about essential knowledge and first principles here. An ancient cultural recipe. A piece of our heritage which we were never taught but nevertheless cannot afford to lose, nor to just throw out like the baby with the proverbial bathwater. We believe this film can help preserve some of what We the People have lost, and reignite the symbols of liberty... before it is too late.

The past, wherever it has been overgeneralized, or subjected to cultural cancelation, is being bleached of its useful details. These patterns have played out before. The fight for freedom is age old. Hard-won lessons have been downplayed or even intentionally erased as the indifference of modern blind eyes threatens to overwrite the past in varying waves of idiocracy, ignorance, and indignant self-destruction.

As cycles of history repeat, and time spirals out, everything behind us faces the judgement of the unaccountable, invisible arbiters of truth who have assumed power in the name of unknown or unclear values – but surely not ones that favor the common people, who risk being dragged back to the Dark Ages of servitude and superstitious confusion.

Reigniting the Symbols of Liberty

Freedom of speech, self-defense, privacy, due process and a meaningful buffer against overreach by government, corporations, and other forms of undue power is the whole point of such pivotal historical compacts as the Bill(s) of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, the Magna Carta, and other ancient instruments of civil liberty. This is about the foundational concepts that Freemen and Freewomen should hold universally.

The people who lived several centuries before us struggled against remarkably similar issues. And they went to extraordinary measures to fight for what they thought was right, and to steer the people towards an image of themselves as a free people, or at least one that had promise and a chance at a better life.

This is about our inherent rights, endowed by our Creator. Meant to stand. Derived from ancient compact and tested by time. Not flimsy, arbitrary paper laws. Not emergency powers clutched from hyperbolic media pseudo-events. Not platitudes bent to contemporary whims, but intended as boundaries that deserve to be respected, and must be so respected by any legitimate forms of institutional power in society.

And we must take the rest of this story with us into whatever future humanity is now heading into before we're reset yet again.
