The House has finally passed President Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill," sending the legislation to his desk.
The vote was 218-214. Only two Republicans voted no on the final measure.
The two GOPers who voted no were Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania.
They can likely kiss their political careers goodbye.
The vote was supposed to take place this morning, but House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries decided to filbusterfor over eight hours by reading supposed letters from Americans worried about the bill and wildly attacking Republicans for supprting the bill, including accusing them of being un-Christian.
His speech began at 5:53 AM ET and ended at 1:37 PM ET, speaking for a record eight hours and 44 minutes. This broke the old record of 8 hours and 32 minutes held by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in November 2021.
Jeffries's stunt was so pathetic that it even put some of his fellow comrades to sleep at times.
