While speaking with Lara Trump, Homan pointed out that some of our enemies take advantage of this policy with the intent to do us harm. He also noted that the policy encourages the practice of illegal immigration by rewarding illegal aliens with benefits they would not get otherwise.

Democrats and other opponents of the Trump administration know all of this, they just don't care. They basically want open borders.

Border Czar Tom Homan just blew the doors off the birthright citizenship narrative.

"I don't think the founders want to reward that type of behavior."

He laid out the three brutal truths about the loophole the left doesn't want to hear.

HOMAN: "Several things."

"Number one, it's a crime to enter this country illegally. A crime."

"I don't think the founders want to reward that type of behavior by giving citizenship to a child they have here."

"Second of all, it's a MAJOR driver of illegal immigration."

"It's a magnet. A lot of people come here to have a child…to take advantage of the great benefits we have in this country for citizens."

"Third, birth tourism has been a problem for the three decades that I've been enforcing immigration law, especially from Russia and China, where hundreds of thousands of their nationals come to this country just to give birth."

"That is a SIGNIFICANT national security threat."
